OUR APPROACH: “Old fashioned Chiropractic”
Our office follows the principles and methodologies of the founders of the profession. The term they used for incorrect function of the vertebral segment for lack of a better word was “subluxation”.
Thus we consult to determine if the patient’s history might indicate the existence of subluxations
We examine to confirm the premise and confirm from the outside
We x-ray to identify potential areas of subluxation on the inside
We compliment our methods with whatever supportive tools might be required to aid the healing process (Our Services)
Expectations
Anyone visiting our office or website has their own expectations based upon prior experience and values. We think we what we offer is different and special. We ask that you join with us in mutual understanding that:
We are doing our best for you and other patients and do not wish to intentionally create discomfort or discord.
Insurance companies, the government, employers and others do not have your health as their top priority- we do. We will work with an outside party but not be a slave to them.
The body is the most complex thing know to man
We don’t have all the answers (more are discovered each day)
The body often reacts in ways no one can predict during the healing process
It’s no one’s fault in particular. Often neither patient nor doctor know the process that is occurring.
There are inherent limits on the accuracy and reliability of health care tests and methods (blood tests, MRI, ultrasound etc). Most patients still rely on pain as an indicator of health. Many let their condition deteriorate for months or years before taking an action step. As a result, a long time may be required for optimal healing
Communication and goodwill are the basis of any successful relationship. We offer it, and expect it from the patients and Doctors we work with. In health care today, it is often easier to acquiesce to the patient than face the hard work needed. It’s easier to offer medication than encourage diet and exercise.
We think there is value in maintaining honesty, thought it may be less comfortable for doctor and patient. We aspire to integrity in our work. It is the cornerstone of our daily decision large and small. We prefer not to compromise.
